Wings Engines by AV Stumpfl constitute high-performance, high-reliability hardware for multidisplay shows. They incorporate our experience and that of our users. They are based on Windows 7 Embedded and have been provided with selected components that ensure optimal configuration. All Wings Media Servers are distinguished by the following features:
Operating system and show data on separate SSD drives (Solid State Drive) guarantee highest performance and reliability.
High-performance graphics card and Wings Vioso licenses for the display outputs and an additional control monitor output.
A special desktop allows fast access to the most important functions. See Wings Engine Desktop.
Generation of test images on all outputs facilitates alignment of video projectors or displays. See Displaying test pictures.
The support module TeamViewer allows remote access for remote maintenance and troubleshooting.
The configuration of the Wings Media Servers is protected, i.e. you are able to make changes but the defined configuration can be restored at any time using the Backup Manager. Certainly you can also save and load your own configurations for particular applications. Configurations can also be "frozen", i.e. you can make changes but the defined configurations is restored again after a restart. See also Wings Engine Backup Manager.
There are five different models with two or four display outputs each available:
Wings Player Lite ...for smaller installations with up to two simultaneous full-HD video streams, limited Wings Vioso.
Wings Player Pro ...for smaller installations with up to three simultaneous full-HD video streams.
Wings Engine Lite ...basic model for shows and installation with up to four hardware-synced outputs plus control monitor.
Wings Engine Pro ..as above, but with more powerful components and with up to four live video inputs.
Wings Engine Stage ...the top model for highest demands with regard to performance and sturdyness.
Wings Engine RAW ...the ultimative model for playback of uncompressed video stream with up to 8K at 60 f/s.
Note: Please note that the dual models cannot be extended by means of external dongles.
Detailed information on the features of the various models can be found in the table below.
