Devices are controlled via device ports which can be configured and managed in the Media Pool. First of all, you need to configure a device port and then to define the devices to be controlled.
In the Media Pool, click on category 
Devices.
Right-click some free space in the right Media Pool section and select Add port 
followed by choosing the corresponding port. Your selection depends on the devices and control types you are using. If you do not know the detailed requirements of your device check the following topics:
In the dialog box popping up, make the corresponding settings for your port. Connected and activated Stumpfl control units, as well as Ektapro and Leica RT projectors are immediately searched and recognized. Other devices usually do not respond.
Finish setting the device ports by clicking OK. You can now add devices to the device port. See Adding devices.
It is possible to enter a an additional identification for a device port, e.g. Stumpfl SC Net | Light. To do so, click the name of the device port in the right Media Pool section and enter the name addition.
Category Devices lists all the device ports and devices used in the project. Device ports must haven an entry for the serial port in column PC Port/Address, e.g. Com 1.
