Controlling Avio resources via Calendar Events

Avio Calendar offers the possibility to control any type of Avio resources. For this purpose Events are placed in the Calendar, which are then available as channels on the Avio network and can be linked up with other channels. This way various actions can be executed at desired points of time.

This topic provides information on the following:

 

Adding and configuring Events

    1. Click on the Avio Service icon and select Show Avio Calendar (enabled) following which the empty calendar view of the current week is displayed. If the Calendar is not enabled....

    2. In the top right-hand corner of the Calendar click MANAGE EVENTS and an empty Event List appears.

    3. Now click on button to add an Event. For the Device enter the required name at Event Name ,e.g. Restart Wings Server . This name also used for the corresponding channel in Avio Manager. For Event Color you can select a color to be used for displaying the Event in the Calendar.

    4. For Avio Address enter a free port and click . If necessary, add further Events likewise.

    5. When you are finished creating the Events, close the Calendar and restart Avio Service. Following this your Events will be visible in Avio Manager under Avio Service - Avio Calendar - Events as channels which can be linked up with the channels of devices to be controlled.

     

    Placing Events in the Calendar

      1. Unless Avio Calendar is already open, click the Avio Service icon and select Show Avio Calendar (enabled).

      2. In the Calendar highlight a time range for playback by clicking and dragging with the mouse. Alternatively you can press the Shift key while highlighting the last field and the time range between will be highlighted.

      3. Click and select for an Event entry. In dialog CREATE NEW EVENT make the following entries:

      Base Settings

      Time Settings

      Series Settings

      1. Finish by clicking to enable the Event. Since all Events are displayed in the Calendar you can easily check the effect of the options on the creation of series Events. Once the start time of the Event has been reached the corresponding Event channel is set to 1. The title line now indicates whether Avio Calendar is active or not.
