If you drag a video into an audio track and the sound object and its contents is not displayed properly, the video may be in a sound format which is not supported.
Playback of videos in quicktime format (*.mov) requires the Quicktime player. Install the latest Quicktime player even if the video image is already displayed. Important note: Since Apple does not longer update the QuickTime Player for Windows it should only be installed on computers without Internet connection. Otherwise there is a security risk! Instead of QuickTime you can also install FFDShow which offers an extensive codec package and can also decode AAC audio, among other things.
VOB files of DVDs or videos produced by AVCHD cameras often contain multi-channel sound (Dolby Digital, DTS, etc.), which can only be decoded with an additional filter by Wings Vioso RX.
Solution:
Install the tool AC3Filter (Version Full) on your computer, which can be downloaded for free from the Internet at www.ac3filter.net.
Start the installation by double-clicking ac3filter_2_5b.exe (...version number 2.5b may change) and follow the instructions. Wings Vioso RX should not be started during the installation.
After installation the tool is configured to reduce AC3 audio to stereo, which is required for Wings Vioso RX. Extracting the first audio files may take a while but after that everything will be as fast as usual.
Any faulty audio files without contents that may already have been created should be deleted from the hard disk. Moreover, you should also remove the faulty audio objects from timeline and Media Pool. Only then will dragging and dropping of a video in the audio track and creation of an audio object be successful. Otherwise, the old and faulty audio file may prevent creation of a new audio file.
