If during multidisplay shows the edges of text, etc. are jarred and cannot be displayed with a smooth edge as usually, the displays may not have been set up in Wings with the native resolution of the projectors and monitors used. This may lead to scaling artefacts, in particular for videos. Things like this happen when a show was set up for displays with 1366 x 768 pixels and is later played back on displays with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.
Solution :
In the Display Properties check whether the resolution of the display corresponds with that of the projector or monitor. Change the configuration if this is not the case.
Calculate the factor by which the resolution specified in the display properties differs from the native resolution of the used displays. Here is an example:
Entry in the Display Properties: 1366 x 768 pixels
native resolution of the displays: 1920 x 1080 pixels
1920 : 1366 = 1.40556
In the Screen Properties the former output size of 4116 x 1544 pixels for a 3 x 2 display array must now be increased by that factor.
new width = 4116 pixels x 1.40556 = 5785 pixels
new height = 1544 pixels x 1.40556 = 2170 pixels
After entering the output size in the Screen Properties check the resulting display size in the Display Properties. It must correspond to the native resolution of the displays.
Note: These modifications will only work if the aspect ratios of old and new displays are identical.
